‘Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney’ Massively Roasts Bill Belichick and His Girlfriend

Everybody is talking about Bill Belichick’s girlfriend and the strange timeline of their relationship. John Mulaney knows what that’s like — and he has notes.
When the host of Anna Marie Tendler, in January of 2022, he discovered that a huge portion of his fandom had very strong feelings about his personal life that bordered on hysteria, especially in regards to his new relationship with his current wife Olivia Munn. Widespread and unfounded speculation about the origins of the Mulaney-Munn connection dominated discussion about Mulaney both on social media and in the tabloids, and for a time, gossip about Mulaney’s personal life overshadowed his actual body of work in all online forums.
Don't Miss
So, when the legendary, 73-year-old football coach found himself on the front page of every gossip magazine following a bizarre CBS interview that his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson interrupted in a now-viral clip, Mulaney delighted in being on the other side of the celebrity relationship drama for once. On tonight’s episode of Everybody's Live with John Mulaney, the Netflix late-night host sent out his announcer Richard Kind wearing a perfect Belichick costume while his much younger girlfr— Oh, wait, we’re not talking about that, apparently.
After Mulaney’s opening monologue wherein he introduced the topic of the evening, which, as Mulaney weighs his medical options for treating a torn labrum, was “Can Major Surgery Be Fun?”, Mulaney introduced his sidekick Kind as well as Kind’s much younger and oddly cagey better half. When Mulaney asked his partner to chime in on the topic of surgery, Kind’s girlfriend “Geirsten” interjected.
“No, we’re not talking about that,” Geirsten barked at Mulaney.
Mulaney addressed the audience, “Uh, Geirsten is Richard’s girlfriend, and she’s now a constant presence in our lives.”
“I’m his idea mill, and his muse, and I’m going to need to see a cut of this before you use it,” Geirsten added. Mulaney then reminded Kind’s weirdly young and openly hostile girlfriend that Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney is, as the title suggests, a live show. Geirsten disagreed.
Just then, Kind chimed in with more enthusiasm and enunciation than we’ve ever heard from long-time New England Patriots coach and notorious cradle-robber Belichick, gleefully telling Mulaney, “Come on! Wouldn’t you give up all your friends for this woman? I would blow up my brand and distance myself from my fans for one moment in her company!”
Kind then guided Mulaney through the series of embarrassing Instagram photos that Geirsten has posted, perfectly imitating similar posts from a certain football great’s new squeeze.
Given Mulaney’s own history with people mocking his relationship and the circumstances surrounding its beginning, a lesser man would have cut Belichick and Hudson some slack, but not Mulaney. No, Mulaney and Kind had no qualms with mocking Belichick and Hudson’s embarrassing CBS interview. But they’ll be singing a different tune when Hudson is hosting her own Netflix show three months after her rich boyfriend bites the dust.
