While watching an actor in a movie role, we don’t often think about their preparation. Unless, of course, there’s some drastic body transformation or highly impressive fight scene that a stunt double didn’t have to sub in for. 

Those are the kind of facts we want to showcase today. The ones that went through hell and back to bring us their little behind-the-scenes movie tidbit. Like, did you know that the paint for the shark in Jaws had to be shipped in from across the country? Now that’s commitment!

Avengers: Endgame

On the shoot for the Avengers: Endgame funeral scene, Gwyneth Paltrow kept asking why Samuel L. Jackson was there. The other actors had to say things like What are you talking about? He's Nick Fury! and remind her she's been in movies with him. CRACKED.COM

They used cayenne pepper for the plane fight in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Spielberg didn't want blood splashing around when Marion shoots the truckload of Nazis who arrive at the end, so he asked for a sort of mist, a dust feel. Sound designer Gary Rydstrom asked a friend to contribute to the raptor's voice in Jurassic Park. His friend showed up at the studio, and Rydstrom asked You make any weird sounds?
